Why use the app

Same QuickPanel you already know — just easier to reach.

Its own windowSits in your taskbar or Dock with its own icon. Switch to it with Alt+Tab, not a tab hunt.
Stays signed inClose it, reopen it tomorrow — you're still logged in.
Always up to dateIt opens the live dashboard, so every new feature shows up the moment it ships. Nothing to update.
Reconnects by itselfIf your connection drops, you'll see a calm “reconnecting” screen and it picks up where you left off.
Links open in your browserDiscord invites and other outside links open in your normal browser — the app stays focused on moderation.

First launch

A couple of one-time prompts you might see — here's what they mean.

Windows says “Windows protected your PC”
  1. Click More info.
  2. Click Run anyway.
This appears for any app that isn't signed with a paid publisher certificate yet. It's a one-time prompt per download — the installer won't ask again.
macOS says the app “can't be opened” or is “damaged”
  1. Drag QuickPanel into your Applications folder.
  2. Right-click (or Control-click) it and choose Open, then click Open again.
  3. Still blocked? Open Terminal and run: xattr -cr /Applications/QuickPanel.app, then open it again.
macOS blocks apps that aren't notarized by Apple until you approve them once. After that it opens normally.
Which should I pick: the app or “Install from browser”?
Both open the same dashboard. The desktop app is the closest to a traditional program (installer, Start menu, Dock). “Install from browser” is quicker, needs no download, and also works on phones and tablets.
